AI Consulting in Auckland, NZ.

FluxCo Technologies builds AI tools for New Zealand businesses. We co-prototype with the people who will actually use the software, then ship to production fast. We are based in Auckland and Vancouver.

Auckland's AI landscape

Auckland's tech sector punches above its weight for a city of 1.7 million. There is a pragmatic streak here that suits how FluxCo works: less appetite for vaporware, more interest in things that actually ship. Fintech has a real presence, driven partly by proximity to Australia's larger market and partly by local regulatory conditions that reward practical innovation. Property, construction, and the trades are significant sectors, and New Zealand's building compliance landscape creates genuine operational pain that software can address.

The distance from Silicon Valley and Sydney means Auckland businesses often cannot wait for the enterprise version of an AI tool that gets localized in 18 months. They find a partner who can build it fast and test it with real users first. That is the window FluxCo works in.

We are honest about where we are in Auckland. Our co-founder Ali Ayyad is based here. We have one product in user testing in the Auckland market. We are not going to overstate that, but we are also not going anywhere. If you want to work with a team that builds fast and treats user feedback as the only real validation, we want to hear from you.

Auckland clients

We are new in Auckland. Here is what we have actually shipped from here, rather than padding a client list we have not earned yet.

Services for Auckland businesses

Three ways to engage. Built for the pace that New Zealand businesses actually move at.

AI Strategy

NZ businesses face the same AI questions as their larger counterparts: where to start, what to trust, how to govern it. We help cut through to the decisions that matter. No 60-page strategy decks. Roadmaps your team can act on.

Build & Ship

Apps, websites, and AI tools. We built Pass the Report, a two-sided marketplace for NZ building inspection reports, from initial concept to live user testing. Same process for every client: real users, real data, real URL.

Integration

AI into your existing workflows. If you are using local SaaS tools or a mix of platforms, we can wire AI into what you already have. Not a new system to manage on top of the ones you already have.

One NZ-focused product, built from Auckland, solving a real problem in the property market.

Where we work

Ali Ayyad, one of our engineering co-founders, is based in Auckland. He handles initial conversations and on-site work in New Zealand. We build remotely, with async communication that works across the Auckland/Vancouver time zone gap. When a project calls for being in the room, we are there.

We serve clients across New Zealand and take on work from Australia when it fits our model. If you are in Auckland and want to meet in person to discuss a project, that is straightforward to arrange.

FAQ

One of our co-founders, Ali Ayyad, is based in Auckland. Our other base is Vancouver, BC. We work locally for initial conversations and on-site discovery, and build remotely from both cities.

We have shipped Pass the Report, a marketplace for resold building inspection reports built from Auckland and currently in user testing with buyers and inspectors across the city. We are honest that our New Zealand footprint is newer than our Vancouver one. That is a single project — a real one, not a slide.

No. We work across New Zealand and take on projects from Australia and North America. Auckland is our base in the Pacific; we work remotely when that suits the project and client.

Yes. Ali Ayyad is Auckland-based and available for in-person initial sessions. We typically start with a discovery conversation to understand the problem before committing to a build. In-person or remote, your call.

Our current New Zealand work is in PropTech and marketplace businesses. We are open to other sectors where the problem is concrete and the user is accessible. The model that worked for Pass the Report, validate with a real user before building, applies across industries.
